Uses of Molybdenum Disulfide

Molybdenum disulfide MoS₂ is widely used in tribological applications because of its solid lubricating properties. For example, sputtered MoS₂ coatings can be applied on steel components for ball bearings to be used in absence of liquid lubricants.
